Freezing Membership
We appreciate your commitment to us and want to show we are committed to you too. We understand people have other life commitments and therefore offer membership flexibility by way of freezes. For anyone that is on a 6 month or 12 month membership with us we offer unlimited freezes for any duration over 2 weeks up to a maximum of 3 month, and there are no charges for freezes. It is the responsibility of the student to inform Alma of your freeze and this needs to be 1 week in advance. To help with Alma student management all freezes commence at the start of the week only which is a Sunday, freezes cannot take place for example Wednesday pause for 2 weeks and then restart on the Wednesday that proceeds. Your membership term will be extended by the freeze duration taken to ensure your selected 'active' membership timeframe is still adhered to. Direct debit payments from you will be paused during the time of your freeze and continue when you return to classes. You cannot attend classes during your frozen membership period.
Changing Membership
We want to be fair to our members. If you do decide that you want to change your membership type in the middle of its term, speak to us and we'll do what we can. Typically this will result in a charge to balance out what your new membership option is, plus an admin fee.
Change of Mind
For any course or membership type that you sign up for you have a 7 day cooling off period where you can receive a refund due to change-of-mind. However if you have taken part in any classes during this period the refund will be less the cost of the classes you have taken.
Cancelling Membership
If you do want to cancel your membership this may incur significant charges so we strongly advise all students to think carefully about what membership type suits them with their lifestyle and level of flexibility. Alma requires at least 1 week's notice to process the cancellation and help manage student numbers. It is the student's responsibility to monitor when payments for their membership will be charged.
Transfer of Membership
Memberships at Alma are non-transferable.
